Tour de France provisional classification after the eighth stage

Editorial (Thomas) – Adam Yates was not deterred from the top of the 2020 Tour de France overall standings after the eighth stage on Saturday, according to the official Tour de France page.

The second and third positions have not changed either. Primoz Roglic remains in second place, with three seconds of difference, and Guillaume Martin in third, six seconds of Yates.

The green shirt like the king of the sprints was also not separated from the mastery of Peter Sagan, even though he did not win the sprint race to check the points in the eighth stage. Sagan still keeps the green shirt with a collection of 138 points.

Benoit Conefroy still dominates the polkadot shirt as a slope marker, this time with a 35-point penalty. In the meantime, although in the overall standings his position has fallen by a sash, Egan Bernal still deserves to wear a white shirt.
