Editorial (Thomas) – Mercedes were undefeated at the Monza Circuit when their two drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, led the second free practice session (FP2) on Friday.
In the afternoon session, it was Hamilton’s turn to beat his teammates by recording the time of one minute and 20.192 seconds, 0.262 seconds ahead of the Finn.
Behind the two Mercedes drivers, Lando Norris placed McLaren 0.897 seconds behind the session leader to take third, according to the official Formula 1 website.
Norris had an engine problem, but the McLaren team was able to fix the problem and allowed Norris to get back on track in the last 20 minutes, which he used to improve his streak to finish third.
