Legends believe Indonesia’s chances are big in Thomas Cup

Editorial (Thomas) – Two Indonesian badminton legends, Hariyanto Arbi and Christian Hadinata, spoke about the red and white team’s chances at the Thomas and Uber Cup 2020, scheduled for October 3-11 in Aarhus, Denmark.

According to Hariyanto Arbi, who won the Thomas Cup 1994-2000, the Thomas team’s chance of bringing back the trophy that symbolizes the supremacy of the team’s badminton in the country is huge because of the number one and two men’s doubles in the world.

“Indonesia’s chances in the Thomas Cup are huge, with the number one and two doubles in the world with us. A single player can also play against other players,” Arbi said in a virtual media conversation on Monday.

Meanwhile, for the Uber team, Arbi’s hopes were high. He considered that reaching the semifinals was a good achievement.

“For the Uber Cup, reaching the semifinals is a good achievement. We hope that in the semifinals we can surprise the final, “said Christian.
